This HEC‑RAS and HEC-HMS Live webinar provides an overview to speed up river and stream studies and other HEC‑RAS modelling work using GeoHECRAS and stormwater modelling using GeoHECHMS.

GeoHECRAS significantly speeds up creation and review of HEC-RAS models, producing better and more accurate results. Compute water surface profiles for steady and unsteady flow models, bridge and culvert roadway crossings (including scour), FEMA floodplain encroachments, stream restorations, dam failures, and much more. The software can perform 1D, 2D, and hybrid 1D-2D HEC-RAS modeling for a variety of conditions. GeoHECRAS runs HEC-RAS in an AutoCAD compatible user interface.

GeoHECHMS greatly speeds up the creation, analysis, and review of stormwater models. It automates subbasin delineation, curve number (CN) computation using land use and soils maps, and lag time (time of concentration) computation. GeoHECHMS is a data wrapper to the industry-standard US Army Corps of Engineers HEC-HMS software using an AutoCAD compatible graphical user interface. Quickly compare different scenarios and alternatives, such as pre-development conditions with different post-development designs. Rapidly construct, design, analyse and compare detention and retention ponds.

Real world engineering studies will be reviewed, showing different approaches to solving time-consuming HEC‑RAS and

HEC-HMS modelling issues.

The event is suited for civil engineers, hydraulic engineers, hydrologists, and project managers of all experience levels.

Presented live from Wisconsin, USA by a senior water resources engineer, Phil Kramer, of CivilGEO, USA, the developer of GeoHECRAS and GeoHECHMS.
